Si Como No (restaurants, pools, air, jacuzzi, movie theater, breakfast included). Si Como No, which means, “Yes, Why Not?” is a deservedly much admired, luxury hotel that emphasizes a balance with the ecology. Only a small percentage of its land has been developed, and what has been is still heavily wooded and full of tropical gardens. When they wanted to expand, instead of clearing any more land they bought the property next door. That home was originally built for Jim Croce, a singer from the 1970s, who died before its completion. That building has been replaced with a new luxury villa that houses stunning individual suites and three fabulous honeymoon penthouses. Impeccably clean with an engaging décor, the older hotel features pleasing standard rooms, but it is the duplex casitas scattered along the hillside with second-floor views of the jungle and sea that are the most desirable. The pool has a slide and swimup bar. Dine at Rico Tico Grill, or the excellent Claro Que Sí restaurant. There’s also a fabulous private movie theater with free shows for guests every night. Across the street, a Butterfly Garden and a private reserve are open to the public.
